Shyness Clinic
At the Shyness Clinic, we work with children, adolescents and adults who struggle with social anxiety and debilitating shyness. Some people generally feel comfortable in social situations but they may struggle in one or two social domains. For example, they may experience significant anxiety in large group settings or they may refrain from participating in work meetings for fear of saying something “stupid” or doing something to embarrass themselves.
Such people may benefit from individual sessions targeting these specific domains. Others have been painfully shy and socially anxious since childhood and find that many life experiences have been significantly and negatively impacted by these issues. These people may choose either an individual or group approach in order to make progress on goals that will get their lives moving in a more desired direction.
